“This design came together in a kind of backward way. I wanted to set up a very humble still life using nothing more than odd bits of wood and still try to make it as interesting as possible with a variety of shapes and colors. I couldn’t find anything to serve as a center of interest until I tried this antique Pinocchio doll. It was perfect.”
